Ken Roberts

O
ur photo restoration and printing specialist, Ken keeps our digital darkroom and photo studio up to date and running. In addition to his extensive knowledge on age and and history of antique photo frames is integral in the selection of authentic quality frames for our inventory. With a M.S. in fishery science from Michigan State, his professional managerial career spanned 34 years with Ohio’s Division of Wildlife, the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Marine Fisheries Service. Photographic training includes photo composition, digital enhancement, lighting, black and white darkroom printing, and large format camera techniques, as well as drawing, sculpture, and stained glass. Prior to our current venture of restoring family photos, he logged two years as an architectural and portrait photographer.

Joan Rosenstein

A
professional fine art photographer, Joan provides a valuable artistic perspective to R&R’s photo restoration and framing work. A constant source of advice on photo adjustments, she also assists clients in matching antique frames and mats to their photos. She then applies museum quality framing skills. Her M.F.A. is in painting from the University of Michigan. She is a Professor Emerita from Montgomery College, Rockville, MD, having taught design, color, and drawing for thirty years. Upon retirement, she received the College’s Bronze Medallion for outststanding, distinguished service. She switched to fine art photography in 1983, devoting several years of study under major contemporary photographers. Her work has been exhibited in 165 group shows and fifteen solo exhibitions.
